Travel Bag Box

I've started working on some project's for the PTA Staff Appreciation. I don't want to give the theme away until it's announced, but let's just say it has something to do with travel. As the invitations will be going out shortly, they wanted a decorative container where the teachers et al would drop off their responses, something that looked like luggage.

So out came Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More and the 24inch mat. I went with a rounded top bag, stretched it out on my Gypsy so the side panel was about 11 inches across (and the rest was hanging off the edge of the mat and not going to be cut) and cut two of those out of chipboard. I couldn't get it to center the image to let me cut the bottom and sides of the bag, so I just cut a rectangle by hand from chipboard and folded it. I found a suede-like contact paper and used that to cover the chipboard, using thin strips to wrap up the handle. I added a pocket and adorned it with travel images from a Hot Off the Press vintage travel ephemera book.
